We at UNIJAPAN(collectively, “We”) understand the importance of Personal Information (“Personal Information” includes information that can identify an individual, such as name, address or phone number, as well as other information that, combined with other information, can be used to identify an individual). We endeavor to protect Personal Information through our compliance with the Japan Act on the Protection of Personal Information and our Privacy Policy, and by appropriately managing the Personal Information of our users.

1. Scope of information to be obtained

-Japan Film Co-Production Portal (hereinafter referred to as “Portal Site”) collects the following information related to users or equivalent.

-Information regarding your name, occupation, place of work, telephone number, e-mail address, and other contact information provided by you in connection with your opinions, requests, inquiries, and offers.

-Information about the services provided by Portal Site, surveys or various events conducted by or related to Portal Site (including operations incidental or related to each of these). Information on the User’s nationality, address, name, age, gender, occupation, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. provided voluntarily in connection with the services provided by Portal Site, surveys conducted by or related to Portal Site, or various events (including work incidental to or related to each of these)

-Other information about the user that is necessary for the operation of Portal Site and to achieve the purposes of use of personal information in “2. Purpose of use”.

-Information provided via third parties such as business partners, subcontractors, business partners, and social media providers (Google, etc.)

-Information provided through the products and services provided by Portal Site

-Internet domain names, IP addresses, and site search query information obtained by browsing Portal Site.

2. Purpose of use

The information obtained in Section 1 will be used for operations related to the operation of this portal site and The Contents Overseas Development Promotion project (international co-production promotion project for the overseas development of the Japanese film industry) within the scope of the following purposes. This portal site may change the purpose of use within the scope of the Personal Information Protection Law.

-Providing services handled by Portal Site (including operations incidental or related thereto)

-Management of user information, management of various records, and internal management such as information sharing among Portal Site

-Collection and analysis of information, such as market research, for the purpose of improving the quality, development, and improvement of the services provided by Portal Site.

-Responding to inquiries, opinions, and requests

-Quality evaluation and other internal evaluations of the services provided by Portal Site

-Marketing activities and analysis of the services provided by Portal Site

-Providing information on the services offered by Portal Site

-Providing information on various events conducted by or related to Portal Site, as well as operation, management, and provision of various information

-Compliance with laws, ordinances, and other regulations

-Security measures such as access control and log collection

-Responding to notices, guidance, requests, investigation requests, etc. from national or local government agencies or other public organizations

In addition to the content described in “3. Use and restriction of information on Portal Site” regardless of the purpose of use, the user’s personal information may be converted into a format that does not allow the identification of specific individuals and shared on Portal Site as statistics or aggregate data.

3. Use and restriction of information on Portal Site

Except for the following cases, Portal Site will not use the information obtained in 1 for purposes other than those described in 2, nor will it disclose or provide the information to third parties. However, statistically processed information on access to Portal Site, user attributes, etc., may be made public.

-When the consent of the user has been obtained

-When required by the Personal Information Protection Law

4. Management of personal information

Portal Site will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of the acquired information and to otherwise safely manage the acquired information.

Portal Site will store the acquired personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use or to fulfill the obligations under applicable laws and regulations, and will dispose of the information after the storage period.

5. Rights of users

When there is a request for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or deletion of personal data related to the user, Portal Site will respond sincerely and appropriately in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, after confirming that the person making the request is the person himself/herself or the person authorized by the person. We will respond in a sincere and appropriate manner in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law.
